Fraud Prevention: Scams, Shams and Flim-Flams

You get a phone call congratulating you for winning a free cruise. All you need to do is call the 800 number stated on the recording. Did you really win a free cruise? Is this a scam? Well…yes and no. There are more frauds out there making the rounds than “Carter has Liver Pills” as the old saying goes, and each one is designed to separate you from your money. From telemarketing scams, door to door salesmen, and work from home frauds, to free prizes, identity theft, and internet fraud we will cover them all in this one hour workshop geared to educating you as to the latest and greatest swindles out there.

Using humour, and storytelling from his 27 years as a police officer, Sgt. Brian Trainor will peel back the layers of the “fraud onion” exposing the stink for what it is. You can keep your personal assets safe, as well as your business secure... if you know what to look and listen for. This one hour webinar will teach you how to spot the fraud! This is one of the most important hours you will ever spend in your life. Do not miss this opportunity to learn how not to get taken by the scammers because they are actively looking for you, your name, and money - personal or business!

  • What if Buyers and Sellers trusted each other?

What if we had a marketplace where Buyers and Sellers trusted each other?  What would that look like?

Why not go to the BBB?  They do it all for you!  Look for the seal.  Found it?  well that little logo means the BBB has already verified some 13 legal and ethical requirements (and they review it every year).

    • Customer reviews?  got that, too, (positive, neutral and negative) and the star ratings are used with Google Analytics to improve the search.
    • Complaints? we have an on-line mediation process and arbitrators, too, to help you resolve issues quicker.  Better yet, we'll help you to  prevent them.
    • Scams?  yep, we have a ScamTracker heat map that records victim statements for the consumer to search and assists law enforcement.
    • Ethics? yep, we got that, too.  Workshops and an on-line course.

Come hear why you should be an accredited business.
