Jessica Williamson Minimize

Jessican WilliamsonHow has Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan helped you and your business?

W.E. has been an excellent resource since the first month of my business.  I was able to find one of my most valuable assets, my bookkeeper through the W.E. network in Moose Jaw.  W.E. does an excellent job of hosting events, providing a newsletter, and setting up speaking opportunities which have all contributed to the success of my business.

Identifying and meeting a need in the marketplace is exactly what Jessica Williamson of Hoopla Clothing accomplished. The 2008 Young Entrepreneur ABEX Award winner, saw a need for affordable, comfortable active wear for all ages and sizes.

After a month long vacation to Costa Rica and obtaining her Yoga Alliance certification as a yoga instructor, Jessica realized working in the corporate world was not for her. Armed with her Commerce degree specializing in marketing Jessica ventured into business.

Finding lines of clothing which catered to a niche market was key to getting Hoopla started. Jessica researched lines like Limeapple and Canadian made Yogini for youths. She also researched a line of yoga apparel for adults called One Tooth which is more durable and at a lower price point than its competition. To meet a need for curvaceous women, she brought in a line called Exhale as well as a maternity line.

You don't just have to be in Moose Jaw to purchase clothing from Hoopla. Clothing can be ordered right from the website www.hooplaclothing.ca.
